Staying well and standing tall! My chair was delivered today, and I am enjoying it and very excited. I live alone so this will facilitate my ability to safely live independently for as long as possible. My thanks to the Permobil Foundation for their support that made this happen. I am elated and appreciate this assistance from Permobil. Made my day and my little dog too!

I will say, I have held it together all of this time, but when I saw him standing with his friends for the first time, I became very emotional. He was at their height and smiling from ear to ear! He is even taller than his dad. I am beyond excited for all this has done for Lain and our family. The possibilities are endless.......Lain is loving the chair and so are we! He actively changes his position independently. This chair has opened a lot of doors! So exciting!

I wasn't sure how to start this letter, with the amount of gratitude I have words just seem inadequate, so let me just say from depths of my soul, Thank You All. In the last couple of days, I've been able to see the entire world from a new perspective, quite literally as well as figuratively. As I look down at my new odometer, I find it remarkable to reflect on just how many new and exciting experiences the Permobil Foundation has given me. You, at the Permobil Foundation are truly healers for providing assistive technology. I now have a beautiful new body thanks to all of you, a body that can actually stand. A body that's built for true comfort and real movement. There's really no other comparable analogy. I just hope and pray that your life changing work will be able to continue helping others as it has me.

I am very appreciative of even having the opportunity to request assistance and tell my story. With everything I have lost, the things that I can still be independent keep me sane. I need that. Thank you so much for helping this soldier.

Good things happen if you just keep fighting and believing and today Scarlett's dream of a better chair came true. It will be amazing for her to be able to stretch her legs and recline her seat and to drive at night!! I am just so excited for her and so very thankful for all of the donations we have received and the help from Permobil Cares. What an amazing organization!!!!
