Regardless of disability, everyone deserves a chance to reach their dreams without limitations and this is the heart of what Permobil believes. No person should be excluded from opportunity due to a disability. The Permobil Foundation recognizes the importance of education and is proud to offer college scholarships for individuals with disabilities, recognizing the vital role that education plays in empowering lives.
The Permobil Foundation College Scholarship Program was established in honor of Elizabeth Shields, a dedicated educator from the Chicago area. Throughout her career, Elizabeth was deeply committed to education and advocacy for individuals with disabilities, and this scholarship continues her legacy of empowering students to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
The program provides financial assistance to students with physical disabilities who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a passion for making a positive impact in their communities. By supporting students, we aim to foster independence, personal growth, and educational success-values Elizabeth Shields held dear throughout her life.
